JAKARTA - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin invites all parties to imitate the patriotic attitude of Raden Aria Wangsakara, who is one of the famous figures from Banten, who had a big role in leading war strategies during the Dutch colonial era.

"I ask that the Raden Aria Wangsakara Family Association really be used as a kind of locomotive to encourage all, to be able to imitate both knowledge and science (Raden Aria Wangsakara)," said the Vice President when receiving the Raden Aria Wangsakara Big Family Association (Ikbar Wangsakara). ) via video conference, in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 1.

The vice president said that Raden Aria Wangsakara's role was very large in defending the country, especially in spreading Islam and preparing war strategies during the Dutch colonial period.

"He played a big role, ready to sacrifice everything to defend the nation and state. We must have the spirit of patriotism, the spirit of building the nation and state," said the Vice President.

According to the Vice President, patriotism must be cultivated in the community as a manifestation of loving the homeland, especially in facing the era of information development and digitalization.

"This attitude must grow, we live the spirit of the struggle for love for the homeland. This is a manifestation of what is taught by scholars, namely hubbul wathan minal faith (love for the homeland is part of faith)," he said.

Closing the meeting, the Vice President hoped that Ikbar Wangsa could make a concrete contribution and cooperate with the government as a social organization that is able to provide benefits to the wider community.

"I hope that Ikbar Wangsa can provide benefits, encouragement, and motivation to follow and imitate Raden Aria Wangsakara, who was so great that he was recognized by the state as a national hero. Hopefully this Foundation will make a big contribution to the community, nation and state," hoped the Vice President.

The chairman of the Ikbar Wangsa Taqiyuddin on that occasion expressed his hope that the presence of Ikbar Wangsa could contribute and fully support the government's efforts in advancing the nation, especially in the social, religious and educational fields.

"Hopefully all the struggles of our ancestors that have been dedicated to this country, we as descendants can continue their struggle to be able to fight poverty, support progress in the field of religion, and also in other general fields," said Taqiyuddin.

For information, Ikbar Wangsa is a social organization with a legal entity that functions as a communication forum for the family of Raden Aria Wangsakara's descendants.
