Father And Son Former Corruptors Of PAN Cadre Are Free After Served Four Years In Prison

KENDARI - Two former mayors of Kendari, Asrun and Adriatma Dwi Putra (ADP), who are father and son, are free after serving 4 years in prison. Asrun and Adriatma were serving prison sentences after a judge from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) stated that they were both proven to be corrupt.

Asrun and Adriatman were released from the Class IIA Penitentiary (Lapas) Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra). As reported by Antara, the politician from the National Mandate Party (PAN) who is also the chairman of the Southeast Sulawesi DPRD, H Abdurrahman Saleh, was also present and congratulated Asrun, who was declared free today.

Close relatives who picked him up directly at Kendari Prison, including Hj. Sri Yastin (wife), Dr. Hj Siska Karina Imran (daughter-in-law), and H. Alamsya Lotunani (former Secretary of Kendari City) as well as several other relatives and families.

"Congratulations to Mr. Asrun, and also to his extended family for being free from the sentence that has been decided by the judge. Congratulations again to him," said Abdurrahman Saleh, Tuesday, March 1.

Asrun stated that he was both moved and happy when he walked out of the Kendari prison, wearing a batik shirt and dark pants and a black skullcap as a characteristic used by the former mayor for two terms from 2007-2012 and 2012-2017.

Asrun when met by reporters before his release, Sunday, February 27, stated that he was grateful that while he was serving his sentence, he was spending more time worshiping the Creator.
