The Driver Who Left The Pajero After Hitting A Cyclist Until He Died Surrendered Himself

JAKARTA - The driver of a Pajero Sport car who hit his cyclist to death surrendered to the police. The driver with the initials MA was named a suspect.

"He has become a suspect and has been detained," said the Head of Pekanbaru Police, Kompol Emil Eka Putra, confirmed by VOI, Tuesday, September 15.

During the investigation, the Pajero driver was sleepy and crashed into two cyclists on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman at the intersection of Jalan Arifin Ahmad, Pekanbaru. Pajero with police number BM 1233 RQ crashed into cyclists named Hariyanto Jasman and Zulhelmi. Zulhelmi died at the scene.

After the accident, the driver left the Pajero at the scene. Until finally the driver turned himself in on Monday, September 14.

Due to this accident, Pajero drivers are subject to Article 310 paragraphs 3 and 4 as well as Article 312 of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.
