JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (Kejagung) has revealed that the investigation of Djoko Tjandra and Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari is to complete the investigation files. This is because in the near future both case files will enter stage two.

"What was clear earlier in the Pinangki case was administrative preparation for the interests of phase two," said the Investigation Director of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Ardiansyah, to reporters, Monday, September 14.

During the examination, said Febrie, he also discussed dakwan and other preparations. Thus, the examination is limited to accelerating file completion.

"So they are summoned for administrative purposes. I think this is just an acceleration for the Pinangki file," he said.

However, the question of whether the two suspects' statements were confirmed, Febrie denied this. This is because investigators examined the two separately.

"No, no, no, each one has its own examination," he said.

Djoko Tjandra and Pinangki Sirna Malasari were questioned again on Monday, September 14. They were examined as witnesses for the suspect Andi Irfan Jaya. However, specifically Pinangki was also examined as a suspect.

The Attorney General's Office in the MA fatwa case has named three suspects. The three are prosecutors Pinangki Sirna Malasari, Djoko Tjandra, and Andi Irfan Jaya.

Pinangki was named a suspect because he was suspected of accepting bribes related to the fatwa so that Djoko Tjandra would not be executed in the cessie case or the right to collect Bank Bali.

The Attorney General's Office suspects that Pinangki received a bribe worth 500 thousand US dollars, equivalent to Rp7 billion from Djoko. Meanwhile, Andi Irfan Jaya, a former NasDem politician, was named a suspect because he was suspected of playing a role as an intermediary for giving bribes.
