KPK Explores Budget Disbursement From Bekasi City ASN To Rahmat Effendi Through Two Witnesses

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has finished examining the Head of Bapelitbangda Dinar Faisal Badar and the Pedurenan Village Head, Nazarudin Latif on Wednesday, February 23 yesterday.

Of the two, investigators are looking into depositing money from the Bekasi City Government State Civil Apparatus (ASN) to the inactive Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi or Pepen. In fact, there is no basis for the deposit.

"The witnesses were present and confirmed, among other things, regarding the alleged deposit of a sum of money for the suspect RE from the Bekasi City Government ASN without any basis for the said deposit," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in a written statement quoted on Thursday, February 24.

In addition, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) also explored the issue of cutting the financial budget by Pepen to meet his personal needs. This investigation was carried out by examining two witnesses, namely the Head of Jatikarya, Sulatifah and the Head of Jatiwarna, Karyadi.

Unlike Dinar and Nazarudin, Ali said that the examination of Sulatifah and Karyadi was carried out on Tuesday, February 22.

"The two witnesses were present and confirmed, among other things, that there was an alleged cut in the sub-district budget by the suspect RE which was used for the personal needs of the suspect RE," he said.

Previously reported, Rahmat Effendi or Pepen along with eight other people were named by the KPK as suspects for alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as the auction of positions in the Bekasi City Government.

Pepen with the Secretary of the Investment Office and PTSP, M Bunyamin; Head of Jatisari Village, Mulyadi; Jatisampurna Sub-district Head, Wahyudin; and the Head of the Bekasi City Housing, Settlement and Land Office, Jumhana Lutfi, were named as recipients of bribes.

Meanwhile, the four suspected givers are the Director of PT MAM Energindo, Ali Amril; private party, Lai Bui Min; Director of Kota Bintang Rayatri, Suryadi; and the sub-district head of Rawalumbu, Makhfud Saifudin.
