Batang Jateng Hospital Isolates 22 Confirmed COVID-19 Patients

BATANG - The Kalisari Regional General Hospital, Batang Regency, Central Java, for the past week has isolated 22 patients who were confirmed to have COVID-19.

"Based on the results of the antigen test, 99 percent of the 22 patients may have tested positive for COVID-19," said Head of the Treatment Division at the Kalisari Hospital, Batang Samuri Regency in Batang, Antara, Monday, February 21.

Currently, his party has prepared 33 bed rooms for confirmed COVID-19 patients.

"However, if the bed occupancy (BOR) continues to increase, we have prepared 115 beds to anticipate the possibility of an increase in COVID-19 cases at the end of February 2022," he said.

His party has prepared facilities and infrastructure, as well as medical personnel to serve patients who have been declared positive for COVID-19.

"God willing, there will be no problems, we are ready to serve them. For the problem of 'tracing' (tracking) will be carried out by Health Service officers while we are the last door if the community is no longer able to handle COVID-19 cases," he said.

According to him, the public can actually control the transmission of COVID-19, the new variant of Omicron, by complying with health protocols and discipline in wearing masks, keeping a distance, and frequently washing hands with soap.

However, if people ignore health protocols and carry out vaccinations, he said, it is possible that residents will be easily exposed to COVID-19.

"Giving a vaccine does not guarantee that someone is free from being exposed to COVID-19, but from the available data, almost everyone who has received a vaccination will have lighter complaints," he said.
