It Turns Out, Adam Deni Is Positive For COVID-19, Placed In A Special Isolation Cell At The Criminal Investigation Unit Of The Police

JAKARTA - The suspect in the alleged illegal access case, Adam Deni, has tested positive for COVID-19. He was confirmed infected about two days ago.

"Yes, Adam Deni is positive for COVID-19," said Adam Deni's lawyer, Susandi, to VOI, Friday, February 18

Currently, Adam Deni is in self-isolation at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. He was placed in a special solitary cell. "It has been handled by the Criminal Investigation Department. Currently, he is being treated in a special cell for isomanism," said Susandi.

While in the process of handling the case, the Criminal Investigation Unit has transferred the suspect in the alleged illegal access of Adam Deni and evidence to the Prosecutor's Office. The delegation was carried out after the research prosecutor stated that the case file was complete or P21.

"The AD suspect has been transferred to the prosecutor's office," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko.

The second phase of the delegation was carried out at around 16.00 WIB. Thus, the case of alleged illegal access will immediately enter the trial stage.

"We did phase two this afternoon," said Gatot.

Meanwhile, Adam Deni was arrested by the Directorate of Cyber Crimes, Bareskrim Polri on suspicion of illegal access, on February 1. He uploaded other people's documents to social media.

The arrest was based on the police report number LP/B/0040/I/2022/SPKT/Dittipidsiber, Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, dated January 27, 2022. The reporter has the initials SYD.

After the examination was completed, investigators decided to detain Adam Deni for the next 20 days at the Bareskrim remand center. He was charged with Article 48 paragraphs 1,2 and 3 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraphs 1,2 and 3 of the ITE Law.
