JAKARTA - Expert Staff of the Minister of Health for Health Technology, Setiaji admitted that there were still delays in the delivery service system for telemedicine drug packages for COVID-19 patients who were self-isolating (isoman).

"I did receive a complaint about why (there are still COVID-19 patients) not included in the isoman package," Setiaji said in a virtual discussion, Wednesday, February 16.

Setiaji explained that sooner or later the telemedicine service provided by the Ministry of Health depends on the results of data input for each case in the New All Record (NAR). This data is inputted by the Ministry of Health's network of COVID-19 test laboratories.

"So positive, they (the laboratory) have to input the NAR. So indeed there are delays (late) input, some are 2 to 3 days, some are fast, depending on the lab," said Setiaji.

This data, Setiaji said, is needed to verify the provision of telemedicine services in the form of free drug packages that will be submitted by residents who are self-isolating due to exposure to COVID-19.

Therefore, Setiaji admitted that the government will evaluate and impose sanctions for laboratories that are late in inputting data on residents' test results. The sanctions can range from a warning to the revocation of the laboratory's business license.

"We continue to evaluate and deliver warnings to the level of revocation of permits if we don't accelerate lab results," he said.

In the future, Setiaji admitted that his party will carry out system integration of several laboratories. Later, the laboratory will not need to enter data on COVID-19 cases in the system because it is directly connected.
