Binomo Case, Bareskrim Will Investigate Crazy Rich Medan Indra Kenz Friday 18 February

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has scheduled an examination of Crazy Rich Medan, Indra Kenz, who is the reported case of an alleged fraud under the guise of Binomo binary options trading. It is planned that the examination will take place on Friday, February 18th.

"Inviting the reported party on behalf of IK, which is planned for February 18, 2022," said the Director of Special Economic Crimes at the National Police, Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, when confirmed, Wednesday, February 16.

Indra Kenz was asked to come to the Criminal Investigation Unit at 10.00 WIB. He will be questioned about trading Binomo binary options.

On the previous occasion, Whisnu also stated that the reporting party obtained some data from the examination. One of them, the reported party is said to have promised a profit of up to 85 percent.

"Promising a profit of 80 to 85 percent of the value or open trade funds determined by each trader or victim," said Whisnu. Then, from the results of the examination, it was also estimated that the loss value of victims of fraud under the guise of an online gambling application or Binomo binary option (binary option) reached Rp3 ,8 billion.

Meanwhile, reports related to the alleged fraud are registered with the STTL/29/II/2022/BARESKRIM number.

In that report, the Binomo trading application and its affiliates were suspected of violating Article 27 paragraph 2 of the Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE) regarding online gambling, Article 28 paragraph 1 of the ITE Law concerning fake news that harms consumers, and Article 378 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 concerning fraud.

Then, Article 3, Article 5, and Article 10 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Crime of Money Laundering (TPPU).
