Starting From A Pack Of Chinese Tea Containing Drugs, Circulation Of 14.3 Kg Of Shabu-Shabu In Aceh Revealed

ACEH - The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Aceh Province thwarted the circulation of 14.3 kilograms of methamphetamine and arrested three perpetrators suspected of being an international network.

Head of BNN Aceh Province, Heru Pranoto, said the three perpetrators had the initials ZK, MS, ZN. The perpetrators are listed as residents of the East Aceh Regency.

"The perpetrators were arrested in three separate places in East Aceh Regency. During the arrest of the perpetrators, officers secured 14 packets of tea with Chinese writing containing methamphetamine", said Heru Pranoto, in Banda Aceh, reported by Antara on Tuesday, February 15.

Heru Pranoto, who is also a police officer with the rank of one-star general, said that apart from methamphetamine, BNN officers also secured other evidence in the form of three cell phones.

The disclosure of the distribution of methamphetamine, said Heru Pranoto, started from information from the public that there would be large drug transactions.

"Officers investigated the information and searched a house in Baroh Bugeng Village, Nurussalam District, East Aceh Regency", said Heru Pranoto.

From the house, said Heru Pranoto, officers arrested the two perpetrators, ZK and MS. As well as a packet of Chinese tea containing methamphetamine weighing more than one kilogram.

Furthermore, officers received information from the perpetrator MS that he kept six packs of crystal methamphetamine at his home in Gampong Seuneubok Teungoh, Idi Rayeuk District, East Aceh Regency.

"The BNN team moved to MS's house and found six packs of Chinese tea containing methamphetamine weighing more than six kilograms. The crystal methamphetamine was hidden by planting it behind the perpetrator's house", said Heru Pranoto.

Then, the officers received information that the perpetrator ZK handed over the crystal methamphetamine to ZN. BNN officers arrested ZN in Gampong Lhok Dalam, Peureulak Kota District, East Aceh Regency.

From the confession of the perpetrator (ZN) said Heru Pranoto, he received seven packs of Chinese tea containing crystal methamphetamine. The seven packs of prohibited items weighing 7.1 kilograms were hidden by planting behind ZN's house.

"The perpetrator ZK got the methamphetamine from a person with the initials M in Malaysia who he knew from the person with the initials A. Now, M and A are on the wanted list or DPO (in search)", said Heru Pranoto.

Heru Pranoto said that based on the results of the examination, M was suspected to be a drug owner and A was the controller. Meanwhile, ZK is the keeper of the prohibited goods with a salary of Rp. 50 million

The perpetrators were charged with violating Article 112 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 114 Paragraph (2) subs Article 115 Paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 Paragraph (1) Indonesian Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning narcotics.

"The threat is 20 years in prison and/or life imprisonment and a maximum sentence of the death penalty. As for M and A, we continue to hunt them down", said Heru Pranoto accompanied by the Head of Eradication of National Narcotics Agency of Aceh Province, Mirwazi.
