Fleeing To Sukabumi, Metro Police Finally Arrested The Rapist Of 2 Boys At TPU Bacang Pasar Minggu

JAKARTA - South Jakarta Metro Police investigators arrested a man with the initials S (43) for being involved in an obscene case against two boys aged 7 and 8 at the Bacang Public Cemetery (TPU), Pasar Minggu (Pasming)

"The police have uncovered and arrested the suspect in the sexual abuse case against a minor," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Endra Zulpan, in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, February 15.

According to Zulpan, this case of sexual violence against minors occurred on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 09.30 WIB. The suspect's mode of action was to invite the victim to play at the Bacang TPU and that's when the suspect carried out his depraved act.

Each victim then reported the incident to their parents who forwarded it to the authorities. Zulpan explained that suspect S had only been apprehended some time ago because he was always moving from place to place during his escape.

"After committing the crime the suspect moved to several areas in West Java, namely Sukabumi and its surroundings," said Zulpan.

The evidence that became the basis for determining the status of a suspect and the arrest of S included the victim's clothing, the results of the psychological examination of the victim, and the results of the post-mortem.

The alleged articles are Article 76 e in conjunction with Article 82 paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection, which carries a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.
