Receiving The KSAU Report On The Maintenance Of Indonesian Air Force Aircraft, The Commander Of The Indonesian Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, Asks This

JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa received a report on the maintenance of aircraft belonging to the Air Force directly from the Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo.

KSAU conveyed, among others, the readiness of Indonesian Air Force aircraft and various routine maintenance throughout 2021.

General Andika reminded Marshal Fadjar that the maintenance of facilities and infrastructure, including the main weapons system (defense equipment) and Indonesian Air Force aircraft, must be carried out regularly.

The Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, responding to that, said that his party had set targets that were adjusted to the type of aircraft and the budget allocation each year.

"So we have a readiness target, (which is compiled) every year," said Marshal Fadjar to the TNI Commander, quoted by Antara, Friday, February 12.

During the meeting, General Andika asked about the fulfillment of the target in 2021, especially for Boeing type aircraft.

"Like this Boeing if I'm not mistaken 3. Never 4," said Kasau, referring to the number of planes that underwent routine maintenance last year.

There are at least 4 Boeing-type transport planes owned by the Indonesian Air Force. "Usually out of those 4, how many are ready (to use) in reality?" asked the Commander to the KSAU.

Marshal Fadjar answered that on average 3 aircraft were ready for use, but not infrequently all or 4 aircraft were ready.

Since officially serving as TNI Commander in November 2021, Andika Perkasa has paid more attention to the readiness of the defense equipment, TNI facilities and infrastructure, including the maintenance and maintenance of TNI aircraft.

This month, the Commander in Chief came directly to Iswahjudi Air Base, Magetan, East Java, to review the condition and readiness of the Air Force Base, fighter aircraft, and the readiness of pilots.

During his visit, the TNI Commander also directly checked the Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) flight training facility at Iswahjudi Air Base.
