Hadi Pranoto Was Questioned By 48 Questions About The Video For The COVID-19 Herbal Medicine With Anji

JAKARTA - Hadi Pranoto, the case reported for the alleged spread of false news about the herbal medicine COVID-19, has completed an examination at Polda Metro Jaya. Hadi was asked for 48 questions regarding his statement in the video uploaded to the MANJI world's Youtube account.

"The number of questions is 48, but the contents cannot be opened first," said Hadi Pranoto's lawyer, Tonin Tachta Singarimbun, to reporters, Tuesday, September 8.

Of the dozens of questions raised by investigators, Hadi Pranoto, called Tonin, was able to explain in detail the reports surrounding him. In fact, from his client's explanation, investigators claimed that Tonin could catch the red thread of the alleged spread of fake news that the reporting party accused.

"It can be answered smoothly. Investigators are also satisfied. In fact, investigators know what really happened. It's not like what was reported outside," he said.

However, according to Tonin, his client will meet with investigators again next week. "So next week, Insha Allah, next week we will go to Criminal Investigation Department again," he said.

Hadi Pranoto was reported to Polda Metro Jaya by the General Chairperson of Cyber Indonesia, Muannas Alaidid, because he was considered to be spreading false news about the claim of the COVID-19 antibody herbal medicine.

In this case, the police will apply Article 28 in conjunction with Article 45A of the Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law. This case began when Hadi Pranoto and Anji discussed COVID-19 and uploaded them to YouTube. In the conversation, Hadi said that he had found a COVID-19 antibody herbal medicine.

Meanwhile, Erdian Aji Prihartanto, known as Anji, was also questioned by Polda Metro Jaya on August 10. Anji admitted that he had been questioned about his YouTube channel and the chronology of the incident.

"From 45 clear questions at the beginning about identity, then about my account or YouTube channel Dunia Manji. Then about the chronology of events at that time (interview), the point is the subject matter of the case," said Anji to reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Monday, 10 August evening.

Through the Yotube account, Anji apologizes for causing a commotion because of an interview with Hadi Pranoto who claims to have found COVID-19 antibody herbs. Anji also admitted that he was ready to help educate about COVID-19.

"In the future, I am open to collaborating with the IDI (Indonesian Doctors Association) to explain how a finding can be scientifically declared a drug.
