JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, issued Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 08 of 2022 concerning Prevention and Control of Corona Virus Disease 2019 at the Implementation of the MotoGP Mandalika at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara in 2022.

Through the Director-General of Regional Administration of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Safrizal ZA, this arrangement is intended so that the spread of COVID-19 can be controlled, both before, during, and after the entire series of events is over.

In the Minister of Home Affairs which is valid until March 21, 2022, it is regulated to limit the number of spectators to a maximum of 100 thousand people, with a maximum capacity of 10 percent for festival classes.

All spectators are also required to have been vaccinated for a second dose and bring a negative result of the H-1 PCR test for spectators from outside the island of Lombok. In addition, the screening will be carried out by optimizing the use of the PeduliLindungi application.

Meanwhile, for spectators from Lombok Island, a health check was carried out by showing a vaccine certificate and a negative PCR result 2 x 24 hours or an antigen test 1 x 24 hours.

"The obligation of PCR and the second dose of vaccine is not only required for spectators, but also for all racers, crew, and officials who must have been vaccinated twice and must bring a negative PCR swab test result before arrival (D-1) and perform PCR. swab test when they arrive in Lombok", said Safrizal, quoted from the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, February 7.

The Inmendagri also contains an obligation for local governments to vaccinate the first and second doses of at least 80 percent. In addition, the local government needs to accelerate the next dose (booster) at least one week before the Mandalika MotoGP takes place.

Then, the regional government must also provide health facilities, support health workers, and activate the COVID-19 handling post at the provincial, district/city, sub-district, village, to RW/RT levels.

On the other hand, said Safrizal, local governments are also advised to supervise and enforce health protocols persuasively and sympathetically to the community. One way, he said, was by not setting up a tent to watch together outside the circuit, to prevent crowds from forming.

On the other hand, Safrizal hopes that West Nusa Tenggara regional officials from governors to regents/mayors will continue to establish intensive coordination and synergy with the provincial and district/city Regional Leadership Coordination Forums (Forkopimda) to make the event a success.
