Allegedly Electric Short Circuit, 3 Kiosk In Jatinegara Burnt Out

JAKARTA - Allegedly due to an electrical short, three two-story kiosks on Jalan Cawang Baru, RT 03/12, Cipinang Cempedak Village, Jatinegara District, East Jakarta were devoured by fire.

The fire that continued to grow scorched the stall with an area of about 20 square meters of burned objects.

It was later discovered that one of the kiosks belonged to Sudaryanto. As a result of the fire accident, the victim suffered losses of up to Rp. 150 million.

"It is suspected that there was an electrical short. The blackout was carried out by deploying nine fire engines with 45 personnel to the location," East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Head Gatot Sulaeman told reporters, Friday, February 4.

Officers arrived at the location at around 16.05 WIB, then immediately carried out the extinguishing process by pouring water on the burning object through a hose from the water tank.

"The blackout started at 16.17 WIB and was successfully extinguished at 16.35 WIB," he said.

There were no fatalities or injuries in this fire incident.

"The fire was seen from behind the stall, the owner saw that the fire was already large. The number of lives saved was one family head with five people," he said.
