Cianjur Satpol PP Observes Crowd Center And Schools, Residents Asked For Discipline To Apply Prokes

CIANJUR - Satpol PP Cianjur, West Java, together with a joint team tightened supervision of health protocols in a number of crowded centers and schools. This step is to prevent transmission of the Omicron variant as stated in the local regent's circular letter.

The Head of Civil Service, Satpol PP and Cianjur firefighters, Tommy S, said that surveillance and raids on health promotions would be re-implemented as an effort to raise public awareness.

"Today, until the afternoon we carried out raids at a number of crowded centers and protocol roads in Cianjur, as an effort to raise public awareness again in implementing health procedures to avoid being exposed to the Omicron variant of COVID-19," he said in Cianjur, Antara, Thursday, February 3.

In fact, fines will be applied to violators who do not use personal protective equipment when carrying out activities outside the home or while driving. Supervision by officers is also carried out in a number of schools which must implement a system of 50 percent of class capacity.

As a follow-up to the Cianjur Regent's circular regarding 50 percent PTM, his party together with the joint team also carried out monitoring related to the readiness of each school's health protocol, including giving an appeal to students to always comply with the prokes.

"Currently 50 percent of PTM is applied even though Cianjur is included in PPKM Level 1, to anticipate the spread of the Omicron virus in the school environment. We and the joint team have the task of controlling the implementation of prokes and the implementation of 50 percent of school capacity," he said.

Spokesperson for the Cianjur COVID-19 Information and Coordination Center, Dr. Yusman Faisal, said for supervision based on the Circular of the Cianjur Regent, his party coordinated with the Cianjur Satpol PP, by conducting monitoring and raids at a number of points that were considered prone to prokes violations.

"The Satpol PP and a joint team will monitor and make appeals and take action against violations committed by residents or the management of crowd centers and schools. This is done as an effort to prevent an increase in COVID-19 cases," he said.
