The Corruption Case Of The Jetty Project In Gili Air Lombok Will Soon Be Tried At The Mataram Corruption Court

MATARAM - The corruption case for the dock construction project for the 2017 fiscal year in the Gili Air tourist area, North Lombok Regency, has now officially entered the court table for the Mataram Corruption Crime District Court, West Nusa Tenggara.

The spokesperson for the Mataram Corruption Court, Fadhli Hanra, confirmed the truth about the registration of the corruption case from the prosecutor's office.

"Yes, today we received the registration of the Gili Air Pier corruption case from the prosecutor's office and it has been registered at the Mataram Court", said Fadhli, quoted by Antara on Thursday, February 3.

He conveyed this by the data registered in the Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the Mataram District Court.

In searching the data, there were five defendants for the project corruption case in one of the mainstay tourist areas of NTB, which were registered at the Mataram Tipikor District Court with consecutive case numbers.

Regarding the composition of the panel of judges who will try the five defendants, Fadhli said that the stage has not yet been determined. Likewise with the agenda for the initial trial of the defendants.

"Because we just received the registration today, so there has been no determination (the composition of the panel of judges and the inaugural agenda)", he said.

In line with what was conveyed by the court, the Head of the Intelligence Section of the Mataram District Attorney's Office, Heru Sandika Triyana, confirmed that the public prosecutor's team had registered the corruption case of the Gili Air Pier project to the Mataram District Court.

"Yes, this afternoon the team registered the case with the court", said Heru.

Of the five case register numbers, the prosecutor's office sent a team of public prosecutors consisting of 13 special criminal prosecutors.

They are Ema Muliawati, Budi Tridadi Wibawa, I Made Sutapa, Hasan Basri, Fajar Alamsyah Malo, Elisa Nindiantika, Sri Haryati, Iman Firmansyah, IAK Yustika Dewi, Bayu Novrian Dinata, I Wayan Suryawan, Mila Meilinda, and I Ketut Yogi Sukmana.

There are also five defendants in this case with the initials AA, who acts as the Project Commitment Making Officer (PPK); SU, owner of the project implementing company; ES, the project implementer, and the two defendants from the supervisory consultant with the initials LH and SW.

In this case from the NTB Regional Police, four of the five defendants were detained by the prosecutor's office. The prosecutor entrusted the four defendants in the Detention Room of the Directorate of Detention and Evidence (Dittahti) of the NTB Police.

Meanwhile, another defendant, with the initials ES, has been entrusted with the prosecution's custody at the Class IIA Mataram Penitentiary, in Kuripan, West Lombok Regency.

The defendant ES is undergoing detention in prison because his status is currently serving a criminal term for a different corruption case in the East Java region.

The work on this physical project came from the 2017 Special Allocation Fund (DAK) allocation. In the auction process, the government released the project with a budget ceiling of IDR 6.7 billion.

The winner is the company owned by the defendant SU. However, the project work is controlled by the defendant ES with a contract value of IDR 6.28 billion.

However, in the progress of the work, obstacles appeared in the middle of the road due to weather reasons and material transportation to the location. This causes the work to be delayed until an addendum is made.

Until finally the project was declared completed on December 29, 2017. However, problems arose again. The specifications and the volume of work do not match the plans in the contract.

However, the government has officially inaugurated its construction in early 2018. The fully paid work subsequently became one of the audit findings which was declared overpaid.

Therefore, in this case, the auditor from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) Representative of NTB found potential state losses which were estimated at IDR 782 million.
