Suspect In Illegal Access Case, Adam Deni Detained By Criminal Investigation Police For 20 Days

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has detained a social media activist, Adam Deni, in a case of alleged illegal access. The detention was carried out after the examination process.

"This afternoon the Army's brother was detained," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan in his statement, Wednesday, February 2.

Adam Deni, according to Ramadhan, is being held at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police. He should be behind bars for the next 20 days.

"Detention for the next 20 days," said Ramadhan.

For your information, the case involving Adam Deni is progressing quickly. Because five days after being reported, Adam Deni was immediately arrested and named a suspect.

"Already a suspect, since last night he was detained and arrested as a suspect," said Ramadhan.

According to Ramadan, Adam Deni was reported on January 27. The report is registered with the number LP/B/0040/I/2022/SPKT/Dittipidsiber of the National Police Criminal Investigation Department.

Then, five days later, Adam Deni was arrested, on February 1.

"So it's true that last night at around 19:00 WIB, the US brother was secured by the investigators of the Cyber Crime Directorate of the Police," said Ramadhan.

In the case of Adam Deni, investigators have examined 4 witnesses and 8 experts in the process of handling this case. Adam Deni was also charged with Article 48 paragraphs 1,2 and 3 in conjunction with Article 32 paragraphs 1,2 and 3 of the ITE Law.
