Government Distributes Rp. 13.4 Trillion In Banpres Funds For 5.5 Million Micro Business Actors

JAKARTA - The government has distributed Rp. 13.4 trillion in Productive Presidential Assistance (Banpres) to 5.5 million micro-entrepreneurs until September 4.

"The assistance of the President for Productive Micro Enterprises (BPUM) is dominated by one of them in West Java Province," said Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto in Jakarta, Friday.

The government is targeting as many as 12 million micro-entrepreneurs throughout Indonesia to receive grants of IDR 2.4 million.

For the initial stage, the government is targeting 9.1 million micro-entrepreneurs with funds budgeted to reach IDR 22 trillion.

The main requirements that must be met by Productive Banpres recipients are to have micro and small businesses.

In addition, business actors must be Indonesian citizens as evidenced by ownership of an identity card (KTP) and a population identification number (NIK).

Then, do not have credit in banks or other financial institutions and the balance in the account does not exceed IDR 2 million.

On the same occasion, the Coordinating Minister for Airlangga also explained that wage subsidies have been given to 13.5 million recipients from the target of 15.7 million.

Meanwhile, related to the Pre-employment Card program, three million applicants have been processed and batch seven will accommodate 800 thousand participants.
