JAKARTA - Brigadier General Widi Prasetijono has officially assumed the position of Commander General of the Special Forces Command (Kopassus) after the previous Danjen Kopassus Major General TNI Teguh Muji Angkasa handed over the baton of leadership of the Red Beret Corps, at the Kopassus Headquarters, Cijantung, East Jakarta, Monday, January 31.

The handover of the Kopassus leadership commando was carried out based on the Decree of the TNI Commander Number 66/I/2022 concerning Dismissal from/and Appointment in Position within the Indonesian National Army.

Earlier, Monday morning, Army Chief of Staff (Kasad) General TNI Dudung Abdurachman led the handover of the position (Sertijab) of the Danjen Kopassus at the Army Headquarters (Mabesad), Jakarta.

Major General of the TNI Teguh Muji Angkasa is now the Commander of the XVII Cenderawasih/Papua Regional Military Command.

"This morning the Kopassus Danjen Sertijab was carried out. So that the next mandate for the leadership of the Kopassus Commander General will be continued by Brigadier General Widi Prasetijono," said Teguh Muji Angkasa as reported by Antara. According to him, Brigadier General Widi is the right person to assume the position of leading the Red Beret Corps. because he has been tested and experienced in carrying out various positions in the TNI AD.
