DENPASAR - After waiting, finally the flight route from abroad to Bali (direct flight) will soon be realized.
The Head of the Tourism Marketing Division of the Bali Tourism Office, Ida Ayu Indah, said that in February 2022 there will be two airlines that fly directly to Bali from abroad.
The two airlines are Singapore Airlines (SIA) on February 16, 2022, and also Garuda Indonesia from Narita, Japan on February 3.
"For potential foreign tourists who come to Bali on February 16, Singapore will start opening direct flights. Then, on February 3, Narita, Japan, will go to Denpasar", said Ayu Indah, Monday, January 31.
"There are two airlines. Earlier, I coincidentally finished a meeting with Garuda Indonesia in Tokyo and then with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy and quarantine bubble hotels", she added.
With the existence of two airlines that fly directly to Bali, she is optimistic that there will be tourists from the two countries on vacation to Bali.
"Of course, after opening, there are no crowds like that. It must be gradual first, the initial stage then there will be another stage. However, we think here we are optimistic that there is potential for foreign tourists to come to Bali", said Ayu Indah.
According to her, tourists from Singapore and Japan are not included in the top 10 foreign tourists who come to Bali. But of course, direct flights from abroad can bring fresh air to Bali tourism.
