Jakarta Residents Must Be Beware Of Rain And Lightning On New Year's Eve

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government provides several entertainment points for the New Year's Eve celebration. This entertainment location is in outdoor and public places.

For those who want to celebrate the turn of New Year's Eve in Jakarta, you must bring an umbrella. This is because the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning to alert the public to potential rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in three areas of Jakarta, Tuesday, December 31.

"Be alert to the potential for rain accompanied by lightning / lightning and strong winds in the areas of South Jakarta, East Jakarta and North Jakarta in the afternoon until evening," said an early warning released by BMKG via bmkg.go.id.

The weather situation in the three regions has the status of thunderstorms from day to night, while the weather situation from morning and early morning will be hit by local rain. Estimates of air temperature in the three regions range from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius and humidity of 75 to 100 percent.

Then, BMKG predicted, the entire Jakarta area, including the Thousand Islands, would be hit by light to moderate rain throughout the day.

The Thousand Islands Regency is predicted to be hit by thunderstorms at night and moderate rain in the early morning. Estimates of air temperature in the coastal area range from 26 to 30 degrees Celsius and humidity of 80 to 95 percent.

East Jakarta is predicted to be the only area that does not experience rain in the morning and early morning.
