Attorney General ST Burhanuddin: There Are 345 Female Prosecutors In The Attorney General's Office

JAKARTA - Attorney General, Sanitiar Burhanuddin, said there are 345 female prosecutors out of a total of 11,070 prosecutors currently serving in the prosecutor's office.

In a working meeting with the Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III, Burhanuddin explained that some of these female prosecutors had succeeded in showing achievements and filling certain positions in all Prosecutors in Indonesia.

"11 female prosecutors are echelon II officials, 140 female prosecutors are echelon III", said Burhanuddin at the House of Representatives Building, Senayan, Jakarta, as reported by Antara on Thursday, January 27.

Previously, a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Trimedya Panjaitan, asked the number of main female officials at the attorney general's office or the high prosecutor's office.

"We want to know, the main female officials in the Attorney General's Office and the High Court", he said.

Indonesian House of Representatives Commission III held a working meeting with the Attorney General regarding performance achievements in 2021 as well as the 2022 work plan and priority programs.

In the meeting, Burhanuddin emphasized that there was no longer any official appointment of honorary employees at the prosecutor's office. But at this time, he said, non-ASN (State Civil Apparatus) workers employed in the official environment were annual contract workers.

This was done because there is still a lack of human resources whose payments are charged to the state budget.

"Existing contract workers will be allowed to take part in the Government Employees with Employment Agreement (PPPK) acceptance selection if they meet the requirements and are needed", said Burhanuddin.
