67 Commercial Airplanes Moved Due To The Closing Of The Revitalized Halim Perdanakusuma Airport

JAKARTA - PT Angkasa Pura II informs that all commercial aircraft operated by scheduled and non-scheduled commercial airlines, a total of 67 aircraft units have been gradually transferred on 22-25 January 2022 to the recipient airport.

This was carried out according to the scenario prepared by the Operation Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) team with relevant stakeholders including the Ministry of Transportation, Airport Authority Region I, AirNav Indonesia, and airlines.

The last commercial aircraft that moved from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport was N881SG - Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) which took off at around 23.36 western Indonesia time to Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

“The scenario for moving commercial aircraft from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport to the receiving airport is going very smoothly. We thank all parties for the excellent collaboration so that in 4 days, January 22-25, 2022, all scheduled and unscheduled commercial airline aircraft have moved from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport," said President Director of AP II Muhammad Awaluddin, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 26.

Awaluddin said that the airport that received the most scheduled and unscheduled commercial airline flights from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport was Soekarno-Hatta Airport, namely 7 units of scheduled commercial airline aircraft and 42 units of non-scheduled commercial airline aircraft.

According to him, Soekarno-Hatta Airport is optimizing the existing parking stands to accept aircraft transfers from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

"Soekarno-Hatta Airport has a parking stand that can park up to 270 aircraft, so the capacity is very ready to accept aircraft transfers from Halim Perdanakusuma Airport," he said.

Awaluddin said coordination with the airline had certainly been done regarding the placement of aircraft and also the aircraft passenger terminal.

"Through this aircraft transfer, Soekarno-Hatta Airport can support the revitalization of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport while ensuring national flight connectivity is maintained," he said.

Passenger departures for unscheduled commercial flights at Soekarno-Hatta Airport will be carried out through the Commercial Important Person (CIP) Lounge located in the Terminal 1 building area.

The CIP Lounge itself is managed by PT Angkasa Pura Solusi with facilities including executive lounge, meeting room, dining room, praying room, co-working desk, airside transfer to aircraft, and airside transfer from aircraft.

Meanwhile, as of January 26, 2022, Batik Air and Citilink scheduled commercial flights which were previously operated at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport are now starting to operate at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Batik Air operates in Terminal 2E, meanwhile, Citilink operates in Terminal 3.

Awaluddin explained, along with the temporary closure of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in the context of revitalization, VVIP and VIP flights are now also being carried out at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.

Soekarno-Hatta Airport itself has a VIP Terminal located in the Terminal 3 area, which among other things is functioned to serve flights for state guests.
