Gibran Promises Relieves Retribution For Traders At Manahan And Sriwedari Stadiums

SOLO - Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka promised to reduce retribution rates for traders who use facilities at a number of Solo City stadiums, including Manahan Stadium and Sriwedari Stadium.

"For the tariff, someone has submitted a letter for relief, later we will help," he said in Solo, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 26.

Gibran said the tariff increase was part of the adjustment given that the facilities obtained by the traders were also better.

"This is an adjustment, the field is getting better. If the tariff doesn't go up, how about the maintenance, it will definitely go up," he said.

Gibran said the levy rate increase was carried out every year. However, according to him, if the increase this time is burdensome for business actors, it can be alleviated.

"Don't be confused," he said.

Meanwhile, related to the adjustment, the Sriwedari Area kiosk rental rate, which was originally IDR 90,000/month/kiosk, started this year to IDR 600,000/month/kiosk.

Regarding this matter, the head of the Sriwedari Stadium Kiosk Association (PKSS) Mamang Rahmanto said that the objections felt by the traders selling at the Sriwedari kiosk had been submitted to the relevant agencies, namely the Mayor of Surakarta and the Surakarta City DPRD.

"The merchant's attitude is actually not concerned with the increase in the kiosk levy, it's just that the nominal increase should not be that high. Thank God the government has responded well to this," he said.

Therefore, as many as 25 traders agreed to ask the city government for relief.

"Traders want an increase for now only up to a maximum of 50 percent of the levy yesterday. Only later if the tariff is increased again according to existing regulations, we have no objections," he said.
