10 Contact Staff Of Sleman Regent, Kustini Sri, Positive For COVID-19, Some Feel Flu Symptoms

SLEMAN - The results of the PCR test on 10 staff at the Sleman Regency Government, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY) who were in close contact with the Sleman Regent, Kustini Sri Purnomo, was confirmed positive for COVID-19.

"There were 10 people who were in close contact with the Sleman Regent in the last week, the results of the PCR test were positive", said the Head of the Sleman District Health Office, Cahya Purnama in Sleman as quoted by Antara on Wednesday, January 26.

According to him, of the 10 people who underwent tracing after close contact with the Sleman Regent, nine people tested positive for COVID-19 after a PCR test on Monday, January 24.

"While tracing yesterday, the results of the PCR test of one person who was positive for COVID-19", he said.

He said all close contacts who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 were currently undergoing self-isolation for the next 10 days.

"All of them are immediately self-isolation and work from home (WFH), on average their condition is asymptomatic. There are only a few who feel mild flu", he said.

Cahya said, the development of COVID-19 cases in Sleman in the past few days did show an increase in the number of positive confirmation cases, on Monday 24 January there was an addition of nine confirmed cases and on Tuesday 25 January there were 16 additional cases.

"There are several clusters that have emerged, such as the family cluster, wherein this cluster there is a resident who travels outside the area and spreads it to his relatives", he said.
