Joint Officials Check The Location Of The Mandalika MotoGP Security Post

PRAYA - The Central Lombok Police and the West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) Transportation Service checked the location for the construction of a security post (Pospam) to support the Mandalika Circuit MotoGP event on March 18-20, 2022.

"This is to check the readiness for the construction of the Mandalika MotoGP security post," said Central Lombok Police Traffic Unit AKP Donny Wira Setiawan in Praya, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 25.

Donny said the number of security posts to be built has not yet been determined because it will be discussed further with related parties. However, the number is not much different from the security post on World Superbike (WSBK) last year.

"There will be a follow-up meeting later," he said.

In addition, for securing the traffic lane to the Mandalika Circuit, it is not much different from the traffic lane during the WSBK event.

"Traffic flow arrangements will likely be the same, every vehicle heading to the Mandalika Circuit will be directed at the parking lot east of the circuit that enters from the Mandalika Bypass road. Likewise, the entrance from the old lane will be parked at the Nurul Bilad Mosque," he said.

The government will prepare 471 shuttle buses to connect the Lombok Island entrance corridor which is the arrival point for spectators from Lombok Airport, Lembar Harbor, Bangsal, Kayangan Harbor, and Mataram City to the Mandalika Circuit.
