JAKARTA - The police have again named a suspect in the case of a beating that caused an elderly person named Wiyanto Halim (89) to be shouted at by a thief in East Jakarta. There are a total of four suspects in the assault case.

"As of tonight, there are 4 suspects," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Monday, January 24.

However, Zulpan has not yet detailed the identities and roles of all the suspects. Including the question of the possibility that one of the four people named by the suspect is a provocateur.

"It can't be conveyed first, because the investigation is still ongoing," said Zulpan.

Previously, the police named a person with the initials R as a suspect. He is said to have played a role in beating the victim.

In addition, the police have also examined 14 people. One of them was a provocateur who shouted at the victim as a thief.

Wiyanto Halim was beaten to death by a mob on Jalan Pulo Kambing Raya, Pulogadung Industrial Estate, Sunday, January 23 at around 02.00 WIB.

Wiyanto Halim was shouted at by the thief and chased by the mob until he was beaten to death.

Even though WH was not a thief because he was driving his car. This can be proven by the police through internal checks.
