MEDAN - Aulia Rachman said goodbye from DPRD Medan, North Sumatra. This Gerindra cadre resigned from the board membership because he was advancing in the 2020 Medan Pilkada to partner Bobby Nasution.

Aulia Rachman's resignation request was made in writing and delivered directly to the acting secretary of the Medan DPRD, Alida, Tuesday, September 1.

Before submitting his resignation letter, Aulia Rachman also said goodbye to a number of employees and security officers at the Medan DPRD building

"I'm sorry physically and spiritually, if there are mistakes in saying sorry, I will be the last day (of work)," said Aulia.

Aulia Rachman is the chairman of Commission II DPRD Medan. He is a candidate for deputy mayor of Medan. Bobby-Aulia was promoted by PDIP, Gerindra, PAN, Golkar.

In the Medan Regional Election, Bobby-Aulia will face Akhyar Nasution-Salman Alfarisi. This pair is promoted by PKS and Democrats.

Aulia Rachman previously highlighted the fate of online motorcycle taxis (ojol) and traders in Medan. Aulia pushed for special regulations for ojol and traders to continue to play a role in growing the economy of Medan City.

"There are many things that we want to make a special breakthrough. For ojol, there must be rules so that they are not unilaterally decided by the operator. In fact, ojol has become a fighter for COVID-19 because it helps the economy to increase through the increasing number of orders for food delivery during the pandemic, "said Aulia some time ago.

Aulia admitted that she was sad to see the fate of ojol in Medan. Moreover, ojol in Medan has demonstrated several times related to welfare.

Meanwhile, about traders in Medan, Aulia highlighted the arrangement. It is suspected that there is an unscrupulous game related to the number of traders selling outside the market.

According to him, the prices of stalls in the market are set too high, even though the conditions of the stalls are not suitable for selling. This condition must be addressed.

"In the future, we will pay attention to those below. So do not become false hopes, we don't want to be like that. We must wake up and commit what we say we carry out, "he said.

The push for regulation and arrangement of traders in Medan City is called Aulia to be a concept from New Medan that was carried with the candidate for mayor Bobby Nasution. New Medan emphasized Aulia that it must be realized by structuring and developing Medan City by involving the participation of all elements including the community.

"The key is in the data collection system, which must be connected to Dukcapil and other agencies. We cleared this from the system and structure below so that the programs carried out were right on target, "he said.
