With A Long History, The 'Legend' Cinema In Cianjur Will Be Transformed Into A MSME Product Marketing Center

JAKARTA - The Cianjur Regency Government, West Java, plans to use the former cinema building in the middle of Cianjur city as a marketing center and promotion of superior MSME products. One of them is the former Sinar Cinema which is opposite the Cianjur Railway Station.

Cianjur Regent Herman Suherman said the owner of the historic former cinema supports the plan of the Regency Government.

"The former cinema has historical value for Cianjur residents, including me because I used to often watch it at the Sinar cinema, so the local government will make this place again make history, as a place to promote MSMEs," he said in Cianjur, Antara, Friday, January 21.

He explained that a number of places that have a history and are still standing in Cianjur, will get improvements and developments so that they are attractive to local tourists from outside the region to foreign tourists.

"We have visited a number of places that have historical value in the city center of Cianjur, we will try to establish cooperation with the owner so that it becomes a separate value for the development of various existing activities and programs," he said.

Head of the Cianjur SME Cooperatives Trade and Industry Agency (Diskoperindagin), Tohari Sastra, said the Cianjur Regency Government has plans to use places and buildings that have historical value, such as the former Sinar Cinema to market and promote MSME products.

Before being implemented, his party will conduct comparative studies to a number of regions that have done the same thing, so that the use of places and buildings that have historical value does not violate the rules, including future governance.

"Certainly the Cianjur Regency Government wants to develop MSMEs so that they are more awake by preparing a place for product marketing because so far, the problems of MSME actors besides capital include marketing, so the government will facilitate by utilizing existing places and buildings," he said.
