This Is Not Good, 586 Electricity Distribution Substations In Bengkulu Are Extinguished Due To Landslides

JAKARTA - Due to a landslide that occurred on the Bengkulu - Pagar Alam causeway, precisely in Tanjung Sakti District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra, 586 electricity distribution substations for the Bengkulu region went out.

So, said the Manager of the State Electricity Company (PLN) UP3 Bengkulu, Hendra Irawan in Bengkulu, Friday, January 21, there are around 92,796 customers who have experienced a total power outage.

"From 19.00 WIB, the substation in the Manna area lost its power supply because the tower collapsed due to the landslide that occurred," Hendra said as quoted by Antara.

The fire was extinguished because the High Voltage Air Line (SUTT) with a voltage of 150 Kilo Volt (KV) No. 107 which supplied electricity to the Pagar Alam and Manna areas, South Bengkulu Regency, collapsed.

In addition, there was a power outage in one Manna substation and two other districts, Bengkulu Selatan and Kaur districts.

Therefore, PT PLN is trying to restore electricity conditions in Pagar Alam - Manna after the tower collapse.

Currently, his party is trying to normalize the affected network by tracking disturbances, preparing Emergency Restoration System (ERS) material equipment.

As well as repairing 1 line for normalization, backup of mobile generators and synchronous emergency operation of the Padang Guci 2 Micro-hydro or Mini-hydro Power Plant (PLTM).

Around 12 gensets helped, 3 generators came from Palembang, two generators from Jambi, one generator from Muara Bungo, three generators from Bengkulu and three generators from the Tanjung Karang area.

"Hopefully, with the operation of the Padang Guci 2 PLTM and the presence of this mobile generator, it can help normalize from the network side to affected customers both at ULP Manna and Bintuhan gradually," he said.

In addition, his party apologized for the delay in PLN services and will try to restore the network to 100 percent.

The following areas in Bengkulu experienced a total power outage, namely Kaur Regency, precisely in the Nassal, Maje, North Kaur, Middle Kaur, South Kaur, Permanent, Area, Muara Sahung areas.

Semidang Gumay, Kinal, Tanjung Kemuning, Middle Darkness, Lungkang Kule, Padang Guci Upstream, Padang Guci Downstream.

Then South Bengkulu Regency, precisely in the Manna area, Manna City, Manna Market, Ulu Manna, Pino, Pinoraya, Seginim, Bunga Mas, Nipis Air, Kedurang and Kedurang Hilir.
