JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police have determined Warsoni (43), the man who killed his wife, SS (29) by smothering him after having sex in a tenement, Jalan Pondok Kelapa Selatan VI No 8, RT 09/05, Kelurahan Pondok Kelapa, Duren Palm, East Jakarta.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Budi Sartono said his party was still conducting a deeper examination of the suspect. This is because the couple's marriage, Warsoni and SS, has been going on for 10 years and they already have three children. One of them was 5 years old at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, his two other children are in the village, Kendal.

With this information, the police want to find out the motive behind the murder. The Police Chief said that whether or not a third party was the cause of the commotion in the Warsoni and SS household is still being investigated through the statements of the perpetrators and witnesses.

"Whether the victim has another partner or another boyfriend, we are still investigating. For now, we only get information from witnesses at the crime scene and her husband, the perpetrator of the murder," said Budi Sartono to reporters, Friday, January 21.

Furthermore, from the results of the temporary investigation, the perpetrator and the victim (his wife) did not live in the same house. The couple has three children who live with their mother (victim) in Tegal, Central Java.

From this information, it is known that during this time the perpetrator and victim had a long-distance relationship during their marriage.

"The husband lives in Jakarta while his wife lives in Tegal with their children. So that in some time, it is her husband who sometimes returns to Tegal or his wife who comes to Jakarta," he said.

Warsoni, lived for years renting alone on Jalan Pondok Kelapa Selatan VI No 8, RT 09/05, Pondok Kelapa Village, Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. The perpetrator worked in a hairdresser's salon at a haircut shop in the Pondok Kelapa area, East Jakarta.

"We are still investigating this motive, whether it is true that the confession was due to pure heartache or if there is another motive. We will investigate this again from the family, neighbors in Jakarta and in the area," said the Police Chief.

However, the Police Chief confirmed that the incident was purely a criminal act of physical violence.

"Maybe there are other problems or there are other motives. What is certain is that this incident is purely a criminal act because it has been carried out and there is evidence," he explained.
