A Year Of No Progress Reports, Victims Of Alleged Apartment Fraud 45 Antasari Visit The Metro Police

JAKARTA - The 45 Antasari Apartment consumer association visited the Metro Jaya Police. His arrival was aimed at ensuring the process of investigating cases of alleged fraud by the developer or PT PDS.

"Several representatives of the buyers of the Antasari 45 Apartment, which have been reported to the Polda Metro Jaya for more than a year. Here it is handled by Fismondev Dirkrimsus but until now there has been no news," said Antasari 45 Apartment consumer lawyer, Utomo Karim to reporters, Thursday, January 20.

Efforts to ensure the handling process because almost a year has passed. Where, the reporting of the alleged fraud was carried out on August 31, 2020.

The report was registered with the number LP/0495/VIII/Bareskrim. Although, the report was carried out at the Criminal Investigation Unit, the handling was delegated to the Polda Metro Jaya.

In fact, Utomo claimed that a criminal violation had occurred. Because, until now, the construction of the Antasari 45 Apartment has not been completed even though the payments have been made by the clients

"If you can say it's floating, it's not clear. Even though it's clear here that the fraudulent embezzlement has already occurred," he said.

So far, the handling process is still limited to examining the complainant. However, there was never any further news.

"The complainant has been made a witness, asked for information. But yes, for more than a year there has been no news," said Utomo.

Previously, the construction of the Antasari 45 Apartment had been stalled for years. Even though the construction of the apartment was promised to be completed in October 2017. Therefore, as many as 210 buyers demanded a refund of the purchase of around Rp. 164 billion.

The buyers felt cheated and disadvantaged because PT PDS as the developer did not complete the construction of the apartment as promised. Until 2022, apartments located on Jl. Prince Antasari No. 45, Cilandak, South Jakarta, only in the form of five basement floors.

The total potential loss experienced by all consumers reached Rp591.9 billion. This loss figure comes from all payments that have been paid by 775 buyers for 923 units to PT PDS, as the developer of the 45 Antasari Apartment project.
