JAKARTA - La La La La, which features Sam Smith's vocals, has become the latest song to go viral on social media. Despite being 12 years apart from its first release, this song has gained its popularity again on TikTok.

Meanwhile, La La La was first released by British music producer Naughty Boy, through his 2013 album "Hotel Cabana".

A year later, the song was re-released when Sam Smith launched a deluxe version for the album "In the Lonely Hour".

La La La rediscovered listeners on social media when many netizens included it as background music.

An account admits that he just found out the song from Naughty Boy and Sam Smith because his son often plays on TikTok.

Some netizens even made a challenge for the song, by doing lipsync and dancing freely.

La La La La itself is one of the songs that was quite successful for Sam Smith. The 32-year-old singer from London often performed it when appearing on the big music stage.

The song also has a good record, with music videos on YouTube getting 1.3 billion views and more than 738 million streams on Spotify.
