The Omicron Case In Tangsel Increases By 1 Today, The City Government Imposes A Curfew Restriction

TANGERANG SELATAN - The case of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 in South Tangerang (Tangsel) has increased again. This time, one person has been added, bringing the total to 8 cases.

"Yesterday there was an addition of one person but there is also one recovered for Omicron in South Tangerang, there are 8 cases," said South Tangerang Mayor Benyamin Davnie, Thursday, January 20.

Davnie said, of the eight cases of Omicron, three of them were Foreign Travel Actors (PPLN) from the United States and Britain. While the rest is local transmission.

"The eight, the remaining three PPLN local transmission. PPLN from America and England," he said.

Davnie admitted that his party had issued a Circular Letter (SE) for the Mayor of South Tangerang regarding the implementation of level 2 community activity restrictions (PPKM). This was done as a form of anticipation for the South Tangerang City Government.

"We have issued a Mayor's Decree regarding PPKM level 2 in South Tangerang, until February for a week or so. We will tighten again after the curfew, restaurants close at 9, now we will patrol after 9," he said.
