The Rise Of Allegations Of Involvement Of Other Artists In Ibra Azhari's Narcotics Case

JAKARTA - The police are carrying out the development of the Ibra Azhari narcotics case. After a week of development, the police arrested Ibra's relative for being involved in drug trafficking.

Is Medina Zein, a woman who is the sister-in-law of Ibra Azhari. He was arrested at a hospital in the South Jakarta area, Saturday, December 28.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Yusri Yunus said the arrest was the result of a long investigation by the suspect Ibra Azhari. However, it was not explained the relationship between this woman and the distribution of narcotics.

"This is the alleged involvement of (Medina Zein) as a result of the development of one of the suspects that we have previously secured, namely Ibra," said Yusri, Monday, December 30.

Yusri could not confirm Medina's role in this case. "We are still looking into (his involvement). To be sure, he (Medina Zein) used it because he was positive. His urine test was proven to contain amphetamine and methamphetamine," said Yusri.

The police confiscated Medina's cell phone as evidence. From this evidence, there are indications that a number of people have a connection to this drug case. In fact, among them are Indonesian celebrities.

"We are conducting an in-depth study of several existing cellphones, is there any possibility of other linkages, including some other artists, we will try to understand them all later," said Yusri.

Medina Zein is currently behind bars at the Metro Jaya Police's Narcotics Detective Directorate because investigators decided to carry out a detention. "Currently we have detained the suspects," said Yusri.

Ibra Azhari was the person in question. He is now a detainee at the Metro Jaya Police's Narcotics Research Directorate. Ayu Azhari's younger brother was arrested on Sunday, December 22, early in the morning, at his residence, on Jalan Batu Merah, Pejaten, South Jakarta.
