JAKARTA - The statement issued by Member of Commission III of the DPR, Arteria Dahlan, 'Kajati speaks in Sundanese, sir,' during a working meeting at the DPR some time ago drew a lot of criticism.

One of them came from the Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, who asked Arteria to apologize. Not only Kang Emil, as Ridwan is called, the same demands also came from Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda. Having lived in Bandung, West Java, Abu Janda also demanded the same thing against the PDI-P politician.

"For the honorable member of the DPR RI, Arteria Dahlan, I am a Jakarta resident who has lived in Bandung for a long time, I just want to let you know that Arteria's statement has made the Sundanese people angry. So whatever Arteria means, it has been accepted by one of the Sundanese and now the Sundanese I'm already angry, let's just apologize," said Abu Janda via reels on the Instagram account @permadiaktivis2, reported Thursday, January 20.

In fact, Abu Janda distributed one of the banners criticizing Arteria's remarks. The banner reads 'Arteria Dahlan is the enemy of the Sundanese.' It was not explained in detail where the banner was placed.

But for Abu Janda, who has lived in Bandung for 10 years, Arteria's apology must have been accepted by the Sundanese.

"It's better if you apologize, I've lived in Bandung for 10 years, I know Sundanese people have big souls. If you apologize, you will be forgiven instead of insisting that you don't want to apologize, you feel arrogant, so you don't apologize, you're afraid so... That's my message Hopefully, Dahlan's arteria will arrive," said Abu Janda.

Separately, Arteria Dahlan responded to Kang Emil's demand for an apology. Arteria Dahlan emphasized that there is a reporting channel, namely the House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD).

"If I'm wrong, it's clear, the mechanism is MKD, is the statement wrong? We are a democracy, if you are not happy with my statement, go ahead. But let me also state that, it would be troublesome if members of the DPR suddenly like this. We have the mechanism, we have the channels," said Arteria Dahlan to reporters, Wednesday, January 19.

Previously, Dahlan's statement was made as a criticism of the attorney general in the agenda of the DPR's Commission III Working Meeting with the attorney general on Monday, January 17. According to him, there was an official at the head of the High Court who spoke Sundanese during a work meeting.

He also asked the Attorney General to replace the head of the High Court who uses the Sundanese language. However, Arteria did not reveal who Kajati was talking about in Sundanese.

"Pak JA (Prosecutor General), there was a head of the High Prosecutor's Office in the meeting, during the working meeting he spoke in Sundanese, replace that sir. We are Indonesia," he said, as seen from the video on the DPR's YouTube account.
