BADUNG - A video of a mother in Badung, Bali, holding her bleeding head by covering it with a cloth has gone viral on social media. Mentioned in the narrative that was spread, the mother was beaten by debt collectors.

The Head of the Abiansemal Police, Kompol Ruli Agus Susanto, corrected the information. According to him, the mother was not mistreated by a debt collector.

"The story is that the bleeding was hit by a chair, not because someone hit him. Yesterday we were both summoned. It's not true that (the debt collector) is only a debt. The debt is Rp. 500 thousand," said Kompol Ruli, Monday, January 17.

This incident occurred on Saturday, January 15 at a meatball stall owned by the victim with the initials MH.

This debt collector asked that the debt be returned. An argument ensued until MH hit the collector's helmet with his hand. The debt collector pushes the victim.

"Then (MH) took a chair in his shop and intended to hit the reported party (collector) but the chair was captured so that the leg of the chair hit the forehead of MH which resulted in injury and bleeding. Furthermore, MH reported the incident to the Abiansemal Police for further treatment. continue," he said.

MH during the examination admitted that he was visited by debt collectors. The victim admitted that he had paid Rp. 300 thousand, but the rest could not be paid because the victim claimed he had no money.

"Because the reported tone of voice (the collector) was not pleasant for (MH) to hear, he became emotional and hit the helmet worn by the reported party with his hands which caused the reported emotion to be emotional and pushed (MH) with his hands," said Kompol Ruli.

In addition, MH's mother admitted to taking a chair to beat a debt collector. But the blow was parried until the chair hit MH's forehead which resulted in injury.

"Incidentally he (the collector) is indeed from a credit bank, it so happened that the mother who was billed at the time was still in the morning and did not get the money for the sale. Then there was a war of words, her mother was emotional, yes, she was noisy and she was interrupted, her mother lifted the chair and wanted to beat her then (the reported was repelled) her mother hit the chair ," he said.

"After this incident, the parties realized their mistake and resolved it amicably. MH did not want to continue this case to the legal process by making a peace statement and the reported party agreed to help with all medical expenses (MH)," said Kompol Ruli.
