Emotions Ignited When Asked To Find Work Is The Reason Andre Repeatedly Stabs His Wife In The Neck In Semarang

SEMARANG - Police arrested Kanipah alias Andre (32), the husband who killed his wife Indah Safitri (27) at a boarding house in Semarang City, Central Java, on Saturday, January 15.

The Head of Polrestabes Kombes Irwan Anwar said the unfortunate incident that occurred at the boarding house located on Jalan Srinindito Baru, West Semarang was triggered by a commotion between a husband and wife who had been married for 8 years.

"Initially the victim who was taking a break from work was picked up by the perpetrator," he said in Semarang as reported by Antara, Monday, January 17.

While at home, the victim asked the perpetrator to find a job. The perpetrator then reasoned that he was sick so he could not find work.

The victim then asked her husband to go to the hospital for treatment. However, an unexpected response was issued by angry and emotional actors.

The knife was taken and mercilessly stabbed the wife's neck. The perpetrator immediately fled after neighbors around where he lived came because of the victim's screams for help.

After killing his wife, the perpetrator had time to pick up and take away his 4-year-old son. Irwan added that the perpetrator was arrested when he returned home to take his son.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence and Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning Murder.
