Motorcyclist Dies After Collision With Mercy Car At Pondok Indah, One Person Still Being Treated In Hospital

JAKARTA - An accident occurred between a Mercedes Benz car numbered B 1953 CA with a motorcycle on Jalan Metro Pondok Indah, to be precise at the red light intersection of Pondok Indah Mall, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

"The motorcyclist, whose identity has not been identified, died at the scene. Meanwhile, the passenger who was riding in the car suffered injuries to his head and legs and was treated at Fatmawati Hospital," said AKP Sigit when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, January 16.

When carried out if the scene, found the identity card of the Yamaha Mio motorcyclist.

"The driver of the car is known to have the initials KZYK (20), written a student, a resident of Cilandak, South Jakarta," said Kanit.

AKP Sigit said, based on eyewitness testimony, initially the Mercy car driven by KZYK drove from south to north on Jalan Sultan Iskandar Muda, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta.

Right at the red light intersection Pondok Indah Mall, a Yamaha Mio motorbike appeared.

"It collided in the middle of a red light and resulted in the driver's death at the scene. The passenger suffered injuries," he said.

Currently, the traffic accident case is still being handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit Laka Unit.

"The alleged cause of the accident is still under investigation," said AKP Sigit.
