Minister of Home Affairs Issues Decree of Deputy Governor Hamdam as Acting Regent of PPU

JAKARTA - The Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian issued a Decree (SK) and appointed the Deputy Regent of Penajam Paser Utara (PPU), Ir Hamdam as the Acting Regent of the PPU.

The decree was issued after the stipulation of Regent Abdul Gafur Mas'ud as a suspect in the bribery of the procurement of goods and services as well as licensing at the PPU.

"The Decree of the Minister of Home Affairs regarding the appointment of Deputy Regent Hamdam Pongrewa as Acting Regent of PPU has been received. I have initialed it, it remains only to be signed by the Governor of East Kalimantan, who is currently still in Jakarta," said Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan Hadi Mulyadi, quoting Antara, Saturday, January 15.

The former Senayan legislator hopes that by Monday, January 17, the letter will be signed by Governor Isran Noor, so that the Deputy Regent of Hamdam will immediately fill the vacancy for regional head officials in PPU Regency.

"The appointment of the deputy regent to be the Acting Regent of PPU, is expected that Mr. Hamdam can work in running the wheels of government, development, and services to the people of PPU," he said.

Hadi Mulyadi also hopes that all stakeholders, agencies, and agencies will continue to coordinate, communicate, cooperate and synergize in implementing development programs.

Previously, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had named the Penajam Paser Utara Regent (PPU) Abdul Gafur Mas'ud as a suspect in accepting bribes for the procurement of goods and services and permits with a contract value of around Rp112 billion.

The Indonesian anti-corruption agency also named other suspects in the same case, including AZ (Achmad Zuhdi alias Yudi) Private, MI (Mulyadi) Plt Secretary of the PPU Regency, EH (Edi Hasmoro) Head of the PPU Regency Public Works and Spatial Planning Service, JM (Jusman ) Head of the PPU Regency Education, Youth, and Sports Office, Private NAB (Nur Afifah Balqis)/General Treasurer of the Balikpapan Democratic Party DPC.
