Allegedly Unpaid Salaries And Layoffs, Employees Steal At Villa Basana Kuta Bali

BADUNG - Former villa employee, Luga Sihombing alias Nixon (52) was determined to steal at his former workplace at Villa Basana, Jalan Blong Bidadari, Jimbaran Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

"It is suspected that the perpetrator did this because he felt he had not been paid his salary while working at Villa Basana," said South Kuta Police Chief Kompol I Ketut Sugiarta Yoga, Friday, January 14.

The theft occurred on Friday 10 December. The victim named Jessyca Ernawati Alexa reported that a number of items were damaged and lost at the villa

"The victim reported this incident to the South Kuta Police for further processing," he continued.

From the victim's report, the police conducted an investigation until it was discovered that the perpetrator lived in the villa D'Resort Ungasan Banjar Wanagiri, South Kuta District, Badung, Bali. The perpetrator was arrested on January 5.

"When interrogated, the perpetrator admitted that he had taken items from the villa. Then, the perpetrator was asked to show the items taken. After all the evidence was collected, the perpetrators and the evidence were secured at the South Kuta Police Headquarters," he explained.

Evidence that was secured, television, mattress, three kg gas cylinder, magicom, electric beer and musical instruments.

"There were also damaged items, a swimming pool pump engine and plants in the villa yard and a loss of approximately Rp. 5 million. The perpetrator's mode was to take and destroy the victim's property or villa equipment," said Sugiarta Yoga.

Kompol Sugiarta said the perpetrator had been an employee and had been laid off by the victim. In addition, from the victim's statement that so far the perpetrator's salary has been paid by the victim.

"Ever working with the victim but he has been laid off. He worked with the victim for three months the day after he was dismissed, the next day he took the victim's belongings. According to the victim's statement, he was not paid during his work," he said.
