JAKARTA - North Penajam Paser Regent Abdul Gafur Mas'ud along with 10 other people were caught in a hand arrest operation (OTT) conducted by the KPK team. Long before that, Abdul Gafur Mas'ud had gone viral on Facebook, being ridiculed by netizens regarding his mourning poster.

When Mount Semeru erupted in early December, public officials were busy praying to support the residents around Semeru. Abdul Gafur Mas'ud also did the same thing.

Unfortunately, Abdul Gafur Mas'ud even became the butt of his followers. He posted a photo of him smiling with the background of Mount Semeru which had not yet 'raged'.

"Our condolences for the eruption that befell our brothers and sisters around Mount Semeru," Abdul Gafur wrote in the photo on December 4.

It looks like this is indeed a photo template from Abdul Gafur's team. Because it is monitored in several posts, the same photo is often used by Abdul Gafur.

"Sorry sir. Condolences should not have to post photos, let alone smile photos. It's not very nice to post photos while smiling at our brother's grief," wrote the netizen.

"Disaster sayings but smiling while laughing, not appropriate at all. This is not a congratulation sir," wrote another netizen.

The problem of using this photo is indeed a classic problem. Abdul Gafur is not alone actually. There are many public officials who often put their big pictures on posters with condolences.

Operation to arrest the hand of the KPK Abdul Gafur Mas'ud

North Penajam Paser Regent Abdul Gafur Mas'ud was ensnared in the Corruption Eradication Commission's (KPK) sting operation on Wednesday, January 12 yesterday in Jakarta. He was arrested along with a number of other parties.

In addition to Jakarta, the enforcement team also carried out the same title in East Kalimantan. This inspection was carried out in two places. Some were examined at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta and some were examined in East Kalimantan.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said that during the arrest, the anti-corruption commission team also arrested the state civil apparatus (ASN) of the North Penajam Paser Regency Government and the private sector.

"KPK arrested seven people in Jakarta, including the Regent of East Kalimantan PPU and several ASN members of the PPU Regency Government and other private parties," said Ali to reporters, Thursday, January 13.
