Introducing Ellyana Intan Ningtyas, The Son Of A Meatball Maker In Surabaya Who Became A Civil Servant For The Attorney General's Office

JAKARTA - The child selling meatballs in Surabaya has been accepted as a candidate for civil servant (CPNS) at the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), according to the test results announced by the 2021 CPNS National Selection Committee for Procurement.

The Head of the Legal Information Section of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office, Fathur Rohman, informed that a CPNS participant named Ellyana Intan Ningtyas had realized her dream of becoming an employee of the Prosecutor's Office after two consecutive failed tests.

"The acceptance of the Prosecutor's Office employees from various different backgrounds shows that the recruitment process that has been carried out so far has been transparent and accountable," Fathur said when confirmed in Surabaya, Wednesday, January 12, quoted from Antara.

Ellyana looked happy. It was as if he couldn't believe the third CPNS test he had taken since graduating from high school led him to become a civil servant in the Prosecutor's Office.

During her waiting period, Ellyana, for the last three years, worked as a photocopying service provider in the Waru area, Sidoarjo.

"Afternoon, when I get home from work, I help my parents prepare to sell meatballs," he said.

Ellyana lives with her father and mother in a simple rented house, Wonocolo area, Surabaya.

His father, Tukiman, has been working as a traveling meatball seller for 23 years using a pushed cart.

"Selling meatballs hanging from place to place on the roadside," said the man who is familiarly called Jo Bakso by his customers.

Tukiman recalled that his only daughter had expressed her dream of becoming a Public Prosecutor's Office employee since the age of 11.

"Since then I can only pray that his dreams come true," he said.

Ellyana admitted that from the start she was optimistic that, with the help of her parents' prayers, her dream would be achieved.

Especially after two of his close friends, who also belonged to the lower economic class, successfully passed the 2020 Prosecutor's CPNS test.

"My friend, the parking attendant's son named Mike, and the coffee seller's son named Petir, who registered together with the Indonesian Prosecutor's Office 2020 CPNS, have been accepted in advance. That is my motivation to keep trying to register again. Alhamdulillah, through the 2021 test, Allah destined me to be accepted as a CPNS for the Prosecutor's Office," he said.
