Bekasi Regency Government Prepares AstraZeneca And Pfizer Booster Vaccines, Sinovac Users Don't Need To Worry

BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, has prepared a dose of antibody booster vaccine or a booster vaccination of the AstraZeneca and Pfizer types based on the availability of vaccine stocks in the area.

"Moderna is no longer available, so AstraZeneca and Pfizer are using booster vaccinations," said Deputy Spokesperson for the Bekasi Regency COVID-19 Task Force, Masrikoh in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, Antara, Tuesday, January 11.

He explained that the availability of the AstraZeneca brand vaccine in the regional vaccine stock warehouse, UPTD Pharmacy Tambun Selatan left 5,000 doses because they had been distributed to health facilities.

Meanwhile, the US-made Pfizer vaccine is currently out of stock, but the allocation has been taken for the booster dose vaccination.

"So the warehouse is already on the list to be used. As for the amount, I haven't checked, but the implementation is still waiting for the gong," he said.

Masrikoh ensures that the combination of using a different brand of vaccine from the second dose will not be a problem.

"It's okay to use Sinovac-Sinovac-Sinovac, Sinovac-Sinovac-AstraZeneca also okay, Pfizer can also be taken for the third dose, also Moderna," he said.

Masrikoh also cannot confirm when the booster dose vaccination will start in Bekasi Regency because it is still waiting for the Ministry of Health's decision.

"Still waiting for the results of the central coordination meeting tonight, it could be tomorrow, it could be postponed," he said.
