He said, heavy rains and lasted a long time flushed a number of areas in Garut caused a resident's house in Sukadana, Garut City District, the roof collapsed because it was unable to withstand the load of rainwater.
"Because the house is old and can't hold rainwater, the roof of the house collapses," he said.
In addition to Garut City, two houses in Samarang District were damaged by falling trees when heavy rains flushed the area. The tree trunk, he said, hit a resident's house, causing damage to the building and the roof. There were no fatalities.
"His house, which was damaged by the tree, has now begun to be repaired by mutual cooperation," said Satria.
He said the heavy rain that occurred on Monday (10/1) caused flash floods in a number of places in Samarang District. Roads and several houses in the area were submerged.
The flood, he said, was due to a blockage in the flow of water in the drainage in the area. As a result, when it rains heavily, the water can not accommodate and eventually floods.
"Yesterday it was raining heavily, the drainage there is small or unable to accommodate rainwater, eventually overflowing and flooding occurs," he said.
