Admiral Yudo Pins The Main Jalasena Star For Australian Chief of Naval Staff Michael Joseph

JAKARTA - Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono awarded the Bintang Jalasena Utama award to Australia's Chief of Navy (KSAL Australia) Vice Admiral (Laksdya) Michael Joseph Noonan at the Indonesian Navy Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday, January 10.

"The awarding of the Jalasena Utama Star by the Indonesian Navy is the highest form of appreciation and respect for the services of Admiral Michael Joseph Noonan in promoting the progress of relations between the two navies, and moreover the cooperative relationship between Indonesia and Australia," said Admiral Yudo as quoted from the written broadcast of the Indonesian Navy Information Service in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Monday, January 10.

Bintang Jalasena Utama was awarded to Noonan based on Presidential Decree No. 10/TK/Year 2022 concerning the Awarding of the Jalasena Utama Star of Honor.

Bintang Jalasena Utama is a medal of appreciation given to individuals with extraordinary abilities, achievements, contributions, and dedications that go beyond their calling.

"Thank you for the support and cooperation that has been done so far. Hopefully, in the future it will be better," said Laksdya Noonan.

The award ceremony was part of Noonan's series of activities during his visit to Indonesia, including meeting the KSAL at the Indonesian Navy Headquarters (Mabesal).

The arrival of Noonan and his wife and members of the Australian Navy to Headquarters was welcomed by Admiral Yudo who was accompanied by his wife, the General Chair of Jalasenastri Vero Yudo Margono.

In this activity, KSAL was also accompanied by Vice Admiral TNI Ahmadi Heri Purwono, Inspector General, Koorsahli KSAL, and KSAL assistants.

In this activity, Yudo and Noonan also held a meeting to discuss several issues, including those related to handling COVID-19 and cooperation between the Indonesian and Australian navies.

Noonan while in Indonesia is scheduled to make a courtesy call (courtesy call) to the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General TNI Andika Perkasa. The Australian Navy Chief of Staff is also planning to visit the Marine Security Agency Headquarters (Bakamla) and Seskoal.

He is also scheduled to attend a dinner invitation with Admiral Yudo.
