COVID-19 Update As Of January 10: New Cases 454, Active Cases 6,311

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 259,545 specimens were examined with the result that there were 454 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,266,649 people and 6,311 active cases", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Monday, January 10.

Today's recovered cases increased by 244 cases, bringing the total to 4,116,202 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 7 people and the total was 144,136 people.

The province with the highest new cases is DKI Jakarta with 360 cases and a total of 867,662 cases. Followed by West Java with 26 new cases with a total of 709,080 cases. Banten has 16 new cases and a total of 132,997 cases. Then, East Nusa Tenggara with 10 new cases and a total of 64,312 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 105 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 37 recovered cases, Riau Islands with an additional 23 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 14 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 65,774,472.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.19 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 3,193 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 170,536,338 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 116,999,284 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,327,002. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
