Guess Baswedan's Novel Watering Motive

JAKARTA - Ahead of the closing days of 2019, the Indonesian National Police (Polri) took Indonesia a little by surprise. Novel Baswedan watering agent was exposed and caught. Active police officers with the initials RM and RB are said to be the masterminds of the crime.

Although they are claimed to be the masterminds of the case that has been running for more than two years, the National Police has not yet conveyed details about the progress of the investigation results. It only said, the two men who had been assigned would continue to be examined intensively.

With the disclosure of the senior KPK investigator who sprinkled the police, the National Police Chief, General Idham Aziz, spoke up. The sky-high appreciation was given to the ranks for successfully uncovering the case. However, he emphasized that the investigation must prioritize the presumption of innocence.

"I have ordered Kabareskim and Kapolda Metro for a transparent investigation. The principle of the presumption of innocence must be respected. I have already said that on the one hand I appreciate it, on the other hand I am also the leader of the Police who is concerned about this incident," said Idham in Jakarta, Saturday, December 28th.

On the same occasion, Kabareskrim Polri, Commissioner General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo added, even though he had secured two watering actors, the motive for the novel watering case could not be conveyed clearly. The reason, said Sigit, was that the examination process was still running.

Apart from that, he added, the information that had been collected would be combined with existing evidence. The goal is to make the novel Baswedan more convincing.

"The motive is still being investigated, of course we are still investigating. All the information we can have to prove is the facts, statements, and evidence found," said Listyo.

For this reason, the Indonesian people are asked to be more patient and wait for the investigation to be completed. Because the disclosure of the case is still in its early stages and in the future all things that have been a mystery will be seen in recent years.

"Please wait, this is the beginning, it is still a long way to go, everything will be opened at the trial, all possibilities are still possible," added Listyo.

Shouts of the Perpetrator

A day after being secured, the two members of the Police from the Brimob unit were immediately taken to Polda Metro Jaya to undergo an intensive examination. Dozens of hours passed, finally the faces of RB and RM appeared in a wide audience.

With close guard, they were taken out of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation Building at Polda Metro Jaya to the Police Headquarters. Wearing prison clothes, RB and RM, as if they were resigned to following the orders of their colleagues.

Surprisingly, when he was about to be put into the car. Suspect RB shouted that Novel Baswedan was sprinkled with chemical liquid based on his resentment.

"Please note, I don't like Novel because he is a traitor," he said.

However, when he was again questioned about what kind of betrayal was done by Novel that triggered anger and revenge, RB did not respond. Then, the other police immediately put the two of them into the car to be taken to the Police Headquarters.

Officially Became a Suspect

After the two perpetrators were brought in, Karo Penmas DivHumas Polri Brigadier General Argo Yuwono also gave a statement. He said that if the statements of the two suspects could not be used as a benchmark for the motive for the watering of Novel Baswedan.

Because, he said, all statements of the suspect must be proven by existing evidence. So, according to him, the trial process will prove all crimes committed by the two suspects.

"The results of this evidence will be used in court proceedings. Just wait, okay, what is important is that we all ask about all these incidents," said Argo.

Although they have not conveyed their motive based on the results of the investigation, it is said that the two active police officers have been named as suspects. Thus, they will undergo a detention period for the next 20 days while going through a series of investigative processes.

"Starting today, the suspect has been detained. We will detain it for the next 20 days. Of course, we will still go through another investigation process. Later investigators will finish this case soon," concluded Argo.
