MUKOMUKO - The Government of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, said it would lay off hundreds of honorary teachers in this area, especially those who graduated from high school or equivalent in accordance with applicable regulations.

"According to the provisions of the central government, teachers now have a minimum of a bachelor's or bachelor's education, so those who have not graduated will automatically not continue their contracts as regional employees with a work agreement (PDPK)," said Mukomuko Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency official, Sutardi in his statement at Mukomuko, Antara. , Sunday, January 9th.

The Mukomuko Regency Government will lay off 567 regional employees with work agreements (PDPK) or honorariums for both educators and non-educational teachers due to a reduced budget to pay honorary salaries sourced from the 2022 APBD.

Sutardi, who is also the Head of Career Development and Personnel Information at the Agency for Personnel and Human Resources Development, added that the assessment criteria for teachers must have a minimum bachelor's degree.

He stated that honorary teachers whose education is not yet a bachelor's degree, even though they already have deed IV, have the potential to enter the regional honorary carriages that are laid off.

He said the total number of honorary teachers spread across elementary, junior high and early childhood education institutions in this area was 843 people. Some of them are high school graduates or equivalent.

The local government in addition to laying off teachers who graduated from high school, including teachers who have a bachelor's degree but whose disciplines are not linear or not in accordance with the learning tasks they carry out.

"And this provision has been determined by the center to be a requirement for teachers to participate in the selection of government employees with a work agreement (PPPK), so this is not made up," he also said.

In addition, according to him, other factors that will be assessed by the selection team to lay off honorary teachers are teacher discipline, and creativity in carrying out their duties so far.

Furthermore, the agency will carry out a selection to ensure that the honorary teachers are still eligible or not to have their work contracts extended.
